Boring view and a visit

Two attempts at making a worthwhile image based on a boring view today - suburban Denmark, as obscured by the ever-present high hedges. I Stood with my sketchbook and palette by the kitchen sink:


First attempt, almost exclusively watercolour...


Second attempt with watercolour pencil on top - I think this one works better...


In the afternoon I had a visitor, which means tea and a sketch:






I haven't posted much this month, and there is an entire sketchcrawl post waiting to be done - it will probably have to post in June instead.
